Portable Two-way Radio Engraving

Portable two-way radio engraving is cost effective way to prevent loss or theft. Painstaking process of portable two-way radio engraving:

Masking:

Masking two-way radios with tape is the very first step. We use industrial grade 3M masking tape. It adheres very strongly on the textured surface of radios. And also it prevents paint bleeding through the edges while filling with paint after engraving.

Engraving:

Expert engraving techniques are required to engrave expensive two-way radios. Engraving should be just deep enough to hold the paint inside the engraved text or logo. We take extreme care while laser engraving your walkie-talkie radio so that engraving should not harm the delicate components inside the two-way radio equipment.

Paint Filling:

Then the engraved radios go to the paint filling process. Industrial quality solvent based paint is used by our technicians to fill the engraved area. The chemical property of this solvent based paint will stick to the surface very strongly which will stand in rough handling of everyday use of the radios. The paint requires at least 24 to 48 hours to dry completely at room temperature.

Weeding:

Peeling off the masking tape is called weeding. Any closed area in the artwork or logo, numerals 4, 6, 8, 9, 0, # sign, uppercase and lowercase letters like A, B, D, O, P, Q, R will get inside closed counter space where masking tape will stays. A careful weeding process of these letters using plastic knife blade is done taking care of scratches.

Cleaning:

Finally a light cleaning using a damp cloth will give the equipment its original shining.
